Date
Saturday., November. 21, 2026

Starting from the world of picture books, walk through Hokkaido University’s forest and encounter the unknown at the museum.
This hands-on program lets you experience how the Earth was formed with your own ears and eyes!
(This event consists of three parts)

★Program
① Reading of “Earth: Let’s Explore Inside” / 2:30–3:20 PM
Join Professor Morimoto from Hokkaido University’s Faculty of Agriculture for a reading of the picture book “Earth,”
and let’s use our imaginations together to unravel the mysteries of our planet.
② Nature walk through the forest on Hokkaido University’s campus / 3:30–4:00 PM
Walk with university students toward the Hokkaido University Museum and experience the nature featured in the picture book “Earth” firsthand. Explore the campus terrain, how the forest was formed, and the lives of the trees and birds.
③ Museum tour and talk / 4:00–4:30 PM
Experience the minerals and rock layers featured in the picture book “Earth” with Dr. Kitano from the Hokkaido University Museum.
Hear directly from him about the secrets hidden within the real exhibits.

Knowledge gained from books becomes real experience. And from that, new wonders are born.
